BREWNZ’26 Beer Awards
New Zealand's craft breweries are not just about tantalising taste buds and celebrating creativity; they also significantly boost the economy by contributing NZD 3.58 billion to the annual GDP (0.9% of the national total), supporting over 35,200 jobs, and generating NZD 1.7 billion in tax revenue. That’s something to raise a glass to!
Beyond the numbers, craft breweries are important community hubs. They create welcoming spaces where friends gather, both old and new, all united by a shared love for exceptional brews. Local taprooms and bars not only serve up delightful pints but also attract tourism, giving visitors a taste of Aotearoa’s vibrant brewing scene and the unique flavours each style and locality has to offer.
PhilStic Labels is an active Corporate Member of the Brewers Guild of New Zealand - the official industry association that champions the interests of our commercial brewing community. The Guild recently held their annual conference and Gala Dinner for the 2026 New Zealand Beer Awards.
PhilStic was proud to once again sponsor the Juicy/Hazy Pale Ale Trophy. This year's award was rightfully bestowed upon Good George Brewing for their “Fog City” ale - a fantastic achievement that celebrates their commitment to brewing quality and creativity. Congratulations to Good George for this well-deserved recognition!
Next time you raise a pint of craft beer, remember that you’re not just enjoying a delicious brew; you’re also supporting a vibrant industry that helps our economy thrive while connecting communities across New Zealand. From the team at PhilStic Labels, here’s to our craft brewers and the incredible contributions they make to our economy and our enjoyment of life!
